If you fancy yourself a runner, don’t miss the “Remarkable River Run Racing Series” that starts and ends at Aunt Catfish on the River and benefits a remarkable cause. There’s a 5k in February, a 5k and 10k in June and a 5k and 15k in September…all with a complimentary breakfast buffet, DJ, raffles and awesome race swag!
Another “don’t miss event” is the Port Orange Spring Fair and Food Festival March 4th. If you like great food, crafts, Irish dancers and Elton John music, count yourself in! In April, it’s time once again for the Lakeside Jazz Festival. Established in 1998, it’s a multi-day premier jazz event with entertainment, education and recruitment opportunities. If art is your thing, come on out to the Art Festival in April and enjoy two days of art, food and entertainment.
Port Orange hosts Concerts in the Park in May and June; Movies under the Stars at the Ken Parker Amphitheater once a month during the summer. There is also a special holiday show in December where Admission is free, and so are the games and activities! The amphitheater also holds a hometown 4th of July celebration with spectacular fireworks.
Port Orange Family Days is a four-day event in October that boasts over 60,000 in attendance! There are $1 carnival rides, food trucks, a car show, parade, bands, magic acts…something for everyone! Of course there is a Christmas parade in December with Santa and holiday floats and magic in the air!
