The 41st Annual Festival of the Arts will be held Friday, January 27th through Sunday, January 29th, at Riverview Park and Canal Street. The weekend festivities include fabulous art displays by over 230 talented artists, live music, a student art exhibit, a creative education tent, a dynamic food court and more!
Directly following, be sure not to miss the Chowder Festival on Tuesday, January 31st! Over 30 “Chowder Chefs” will fill both sides of Flagler Avenue and compete in a culinary cook-off of extraordinary proportions!
Get your best beads and costumes ready for our authentic “Fat Tuesday” New Smyrna Mardi Gras Parade and party without compare; to be held on Flagler Avenue on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017 – rain or shine! Flagler Avenue will be bursting with great Mardi Gras-themed food and music, and prizes will be awarded for best float, costumes, parade marchers, and participating vehicles.
The New Smyrna “Art Fiesta” will be held on Saturday, February 18 and Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at Old Fort Park and Julia Street. More than 250 artisans and crafters, food vendors, and live entertainers will attend, as well as a famous stilt walker, face painter, and balloon artist.
Get your groove ready for the New Smyrna Beach “Blues Festival” in May 2017 – a four-day event where soulful sounds flow throughout the streets. Revelers can take in scores of bands in multiple locations citywide.
The “Seaside Fiesta” takes place beachside on Flagler Avenue in June, and features live entertainment, arts and crafts booths, great food, games and more! Many Flagler Avenue merchants join in the festivities with special sidewalk sales and prices, as well as many activities.
Taste great seafood from Volusia’s best restaurants, and enjoy live entertainment at New Smyrna Beach’s Annual Shrimp and Seafood Festival in August. There will also be a “Best on the Beach” contest in which prizes are awarded for the best shrimp, shellfish, fish, and specialty seafood categories.
And New Smyrna Beach wouldn’t be without magnificent monthly happenings, including the Wine Walks; a progressive wine tasting event in which participants can explore over 100 special wines within local pubs, restaurants and galleries; Do not forget the huge classic car show run on the 2nd Saturday of each month, from 4PM to 8PM. A real paradise for automobile enthusiasts!
